35th INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
St. Rocco 56, Bucaplaa, PR 49

In its third try in as many years, St. Rocco finally captured its first International championship with a 56-49 decision over Bucaplaa, P.R., as Desmond Wade scored 19 points, Ian Umpierre added 17 and Wesley Jenkins added nine. St. Rocco rebounded from a five-point halftime deficit.

Bucaplaa was led by Juan Rivera with 12 points and Carlos Rodriguez with 11 points.

35th INTERNATIONAL THIRD-PLACE GAME
Chicago And 1 38, Homewood 37

Jordan Johnson hit two free throws with 12 seconds left to help And 1 fend off Homewood’s comeback from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit. Ahmad Starks topped And 1 with 14 points, while Donavan Foster added seven. Homewood was led by Judah Gill with 10 points and T.J. Malone and Lorenzo Franklin with six.

15th FRIENDSHIP CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
Ponce Constancia, PR 42, Highwood Hurricanes 25

Cristian Santiago tallied 13 points and Albert Rodriguez added nine to pace Ponce Constancia, which didn’t allow more than eight points in any quarter. The Hurricanes were topped by Andrew Sternberg with six points.

15th FRIENDSHIP THIRD-PLACE GAME
Colegio Ingenieros 50, Robert Taylor Panthers 42

Colegio never trailed after jumping to a 16-6 lead after one quarter. Nestor Ramos topped the winners with 11 points, Juan Rodriguez added nine and Alfredo Alvarez chipped in eight. Jeremy Edwards scored a game-high 15 points for Robert Taylor and Darryl Patrick collected 10 points.

2003 Tournament Champions – St. Rocco
